David lived in four places: Bethlehem, Adullam, Hebron, and Zion. Each
of them
represented a specific lesson we believers must learn in order to rule
and
reign in Christ.
Even Jesus had a journey between Bethlehem and the right hand of the
Father. He
was not born on a throne, but in a manger—a lowly, common place. There
was a
process that carried Jesus into all authority, and we are subject to
that same
process.
God is more interested in our character than our comfort, and if we
submit
ourselves to this process, the Church will truly show forth God's glory!
