From Publishers Weekly

With a foreword drawn from a congressional commendation by congressman and former presidential candidate Ron Paul and a few asides on political issues, the reader might be skeptical about the newest book by Convoy of Hope co-founder Donaldson (A Revolution of Compassion). The book, however, is more personal than political, an impassioned brief on the current state of injustice and inequality, replete with anecdotal illustrations of hope in the face of poverty, inequity and hunger. Donaldson brings distant problems home by using everyday examples and down-the-street analogies to move the reader from dispassionate to concerned. Even those familiar with global poverty will find something new and moving. Donaldson provides sound principles and reasonable, practical steps for every individual to do something, and perhaps even become relentlessly determined to defeat ruinous and persistent global economic inequalities.
