At the very heart of the message of the New Testament is a Hebraic approach to the Almighty and His Good News. This approach is so vastly different from the Greek (and modern, Western) mindset, that without some basic appreciation of this foundational truth and perspective, the New Testament can be so totally misunderstood and misused as to render it’s central message null and void.
This book looks at the question of the original language of the NT and what impact this has on the message contained therein.
Review
"I can advise you that a deal of research has been done by scholars competent in the Hebrew who have shown that what is actually written is that men were not required to go through the ritual of physical circumcision, but all the early believers went to the synagogus to learn the Torah. I really suggest you go to Amazon & obtain the kindle of Paul Herring's books, "Defending The Apostle Paul..weighing the evidence" and also "The New Testament: The Hebrew Behind the Greek." What Yahweh always desired was the middle wall of petition to be removed between Christians & Jews. However, the insideous doctrine of anti-Semetism in the guise of Replacement Theology has distorted true doctrine." - Carolyn Jean Brunt, Jan 2013
"HRTI would like to thank Mr Herring for his thorough research." - Prof (Dr) WA Liebenberg, Hebraic Roots Torah Institute, June 2013
From the Author
In the 6+ months since publishing this book I had had some varied feedback - some have loved it; it has left some rather unmoved and some have not been at all impressed!
I expected the last response. This book challenges some very long-held and foundational tenets of mainstream Christianity, so it is not at all surprising to find considerable resentment to it's arguments.
What I have seen though, from those who were unimpressed, are very few critiques that address the specific arguments and conclusions presented.
The book itself though does contain quite a few questions and criticisms from those who diagree with the conclusions presented. These dissenting views came out of a great deal of discussion with friends and acquaintances who are biblical scholars.
To date then, I have encountered no new arguments that identify any flaws in my analysis of the evidence presented, analysed and evaluated.
